Edmond Music, Gilliam Music and Larsen Music are a group of family owned local music stores serving the greater Oklahoma City area for more than forty years. Our knowledgable staff works to bring you the best in musical instruments and service at the most competitive prices.

Our goal is for you the customer to be totally satisfied and happy making music whether you are a professional or beginner, you will be delighted with our selection and fine reputation for service long after the sale.

Edmond Music was established in Edmond in 1974 by a local piano tuner and repairman, Mike Gilliam.  Scott Starns joined Mike more than 20 years ago with rich ties to the Edmond community and is now a co-owner.  Scott is an experienced musician and worship leader with a deep passion for music.  Eventually one store evolved into three full-line music stores in Edmond, Norman (Gilliam Music) and Oklahoma City (Larsen Music), serving the local community with quality musical instruments, supplies, and education. Our full-line music stores carry quality pianos, guitars, drums, band & orchestra instruments, sheet music and accessories.  We are also the exclusive Steinway piano dealer in OKC.  

According to Scott, “Music is an integral part of our employees’ lives and our community, whether it’s performing or teaching.  We love helping others find their passion for music.”  A passion for music may draw our customers in, but it’s the passion our employees share for getting to know their customers that keeps them coming back. Some of the same people who began shopping at Edmond Music in the 1970s are still customers today, as well as their children.  

As a long-established member of the community, it is very important to us that our customers have the support they need after the sale to be a success with their music instrument.  We also offer repairs and music lessons. In addition, the same employees are still here when the customer wants to trade their instrument in for the next step-up instrument.  Each of our three stores has a unique flair and offers teaching studios to help grow your music knowledge.
